[Musicians’ Galore] Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds

Kenneth Edmonds, known as Babyface, is an American R&B musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer.

He has written and produced over 26 No. 1 R&B hits throughout his career, and has won 11 Grammy Awards.

On February 4, 2014, he released a Grammy Award-winning duet album with Toni Braxton titled “Love, Marriage & Divorce” on Motown Records.

His latest studio collection, “Return of the Tender Lover,” is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Recent songwriting / production credits by Babyface include Zendaya’s “Something New” [Republic], Foxes’ “Scar” [Epic], Jordin Sparks’ “They Don’t Give” [Louder Than Life], and Samantha Jade’s “Shake That” [Sony Music].

Along with regular collaborators L.A. Reid and Daryl Simmons, Babyface has helmed hit singles for Toni Braxton (“Breathe Again”), Whitney Houston (“I’m Your Baby Tonight”), Paula Abdul (“Knocked Out”), Tevin Campbell (“Can We Talk”), Pebbles (“Girlfriend”), Bobby Brown (“Don’t Be Cruel”), TLC (“Baby-Baby-Baby”), and Boyz II Men (“End of the Road”).

His extensive resume boasts further works with Madonna (“Take a Bow”), Janet Jackson (“Thinking About My Ex”), Beyonce (“Broken-Hearted Girl”), Celine Dion (“Always Be Your Girl”), Mariah Carey (“Never Forget You”), Ariana Grande (“Honeymoon Avenue”), Colbie Caillat (“Try”), Justin Bieber (“Catching Feelings”), Zendaya (“Something New”), Fantasia (“I Feel Beautiful”), and Tamar Braxton (“Where it Hurts”).

Among the fellow songwriters Babyface has collaborated with are Diane Warren, Kandi Burruss, Tanya “Freckles” White, Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Carmen Reece, Patrick “J. Que” Smith, LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, and Jason Reeves.

On the production front, Babyface has teamed up with hitmakers Antonio Dixon, The Underdogs, Bryce Wilson, Stargate, Tim & Bob, The Rascals, Salaam Remi, The Neptunes, Bryan Michael Cox, Rodney Jerkins, David Foster, Happy Perez, Shea Taylor, and Jason Evigan.
