New Find: DNA Featuring Holly’s “Only Wanna Love You”

New Find: KREAM's "Taped Up Heart"

KREAM and Clara Mae’s "Taped Up Heart" is a moody bop of the highest caliber.

The name DNA might not ring a bell, but chances are you’ve heard at least one of their songs. Comprised of Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci, the Australian songwriting and production duo has crafted hits like The Veronicas’ “You Ruin Me” and “In My Blood,” Dami Im’s (almost) Eurovision-conquering “Sound Of Silence,” Jessica Mauboy’s “Never Be The Same” and Samantha Jade’s “What You’ve Done To Me.” They now follow in the footsteps of Stargate and Captain Cuts by stepping out from behind the boards to release a song of their own.

The hitmakers team up with London-based singer/songwriter Holly for an euphoric banger called “Only Wanna Love You.” At first listen, this appears to follow The Chainsmokers-perfected model of a dance-pop song interrupted by a massive drop, but the tone here is lighter and brighter with perky, loved-up lyrics and radio-friendly vocal hooks. There’s no reason the sparkling tune can’t find love on Spotify and reach a global audience. Listen below.
