Prince Fox & Bella Thorne Team Up For Bittersweet Banger “Just Call”
Bella Thorne makes a welcome return to the pop scene today (June 30) as the featured vocalist on Prince Fox’s “Just Call” — a bittersweet banger about the agony of waiting for your phone to ring. “It’s no surprise you left this hole, it’s no surprise I’ve lost control,” the singer/actress begins the song. “Tell myself lies and I’m feeling alone, it’s my demise stuck hearing this phone.” Don’t worry, her collaborator is feeling just as miserable. “Tell all my friends how much you suck,” he grumbles, “and they hide my phone ’cause they know that I will pick up.”
They then join forces for the chorus, before the mellow drop kicks in. This has the potential to be massive and will hopefully inspire Bella to make more music. At one point, she was primed to be Disney’s next pop princess and came out swinging with perky pop song, “Call It Whatever.” The teen then backed it up with an EP called Jersey, which featured songwriting contributions from Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha. As for her collaborator? Prince Fox made waves last year with his future-pop collaboration with Hailee Steinfeld, “Fragile.” Listen to “Just Call” below.
